40 Bags Update

These last couple of weeks have been very stressful on our family. My sweet Papa has had a terrible time with his health. He is doing better now but because of all this my 40 Bags in 40 Days has taken a back seat. Last week I was able to tackle under my kitchen sink (pretty easy) and my closet (not so easy.) Here is the before and after of under my sink. Also the week before I cleaned out our yellow table in our room and Bryan cleaned out his closet. (No pictures for those. So sorry)

I got 1 bag of Trash from under there.

Now here is the clincher....1 bag of Trash and.......7 bags of CLOTHES. Yikes.

I've also accumulated 
4 Bags of Trash from all over
1 Box of Random stuff to give away
1 Bag of Trash from our table in our room
4 Bags of Clothes from Bryan's side of the closet
I've also already gotten 4 bags from Grayson's room and I'm not even finished. That makes a grand total of
26 BAGS 
I have only cleaned out 5 of my 29 places in my house. The word that comes to mind is EXCESSIVE!!!!! We have SOOOOOO much stuff and clearly a lot of it is not needed. 
It's such a wonderful feeling to clean things out and simplify! I HIGHLY suggest doing 40 Bags in 40 Days even if it takes you a year. You won't regret it!!!!

    What a great project! I was just telling Chris last night that even though we recently had a garage sale, my closet is still so full of "bad choices" for everyday workwear. I still have so much I need to get rid of. Since Chris and I are both very analytical thinkers and "numbers" people, this would be a great project for us! So sorry to hear about your papa. I lost 3 of my 4 grandparents as a kid, and the last passed away in my early 20's. I was spared the emotional toll for the most part, but now we are experiencing it with Chris' grandparents and it is SO SO hard.
