Grayson 7 Months

7 Months old. I can't even believe it. You are growing like a little weed!!! Here is some of the stuff you are up to!

*Size 3 Diapers

*Your clothes are size 6-12 Months but you are already getting too long for them.

*You are eating 6oz of breast milk every 4 hours.

*Still going to bed between 8-9pm and getting up between 6-7am.

*We started to try real foods and you will have none of that. Waiting a little longer.

*On May 4th you said Dada and started rolling over consistently.

*May 3rd you got your second bottom tooth. I think your two top teeth are coming in now.

*You have become VERY vocal this month. You are exploring all the different sounds and pitches you can make with your voice and it is precious!!!!

*You went on your very first plane ride on May 11th to Florida. On the first flight you did really good and went to sleep in Daddy's arms. On the second flight you cried off and on for about 10 minutes because you were so over tired.

*May 12th was Momma's first Mothers Day as a Mommy of two! I am so blessed to call you and your brother mine!

*You had your first ear infection right before you turned 6 months old and then had another one the first week of May. It absolutely breaks Momma's heart to see you hurting.

*On May 12th you got your little toes in the ocean for the first time. You weren't that impressed with the coldness but really enjoyed watching the waves and your brother.

*We take big brother to speech therapy twice a week at school and the ladies in the office love and adore you! You are such a little flirt!!!

*I can not keep you in one place anymore. You roll everywhere as soon as I lay you down. Gone are the days of putting you somewhere and you being in the exact same plae when I come back. Sad day.

*Since the first week of May you decided you like to stand up. I think being in your Jumperoo helped you learn your legs really do have a purpose :)

*You love to hold onto things with your legs and feet. If I have my arm laying on your chest tickling you, you wrap your little legs around my arm. Silly boy.

*Watching you light up when you see the people you love melts my heart into a million pieces. You are at such a fun stage!

My sweet baby we love and adore you more and more each day. You are just precious! Keep on smiling little one! The world is so much better with you in it! You have my heart always and always

Grayson Daniel 6 Months

Sweet baby Gray,

My little 6 month old. I can not even believe how fast your little life is going. Each day we love you more than the day before. You have the sweetest spirit and constantly bring us joy. Here is what you have been up to this last month.

* Size 6-12 month clothes, size 3 diapers. 18.4 pounds (50th percentile) 27.75 inches (90th percentile)

* You are eating 6oz of breastmilk/formula every 4 hours.

*You go to bed anywhere from 8-9pm and wake up between 6-7am

*One of the new things you do is if you aren't rubbing your precious little head while you eat you have your left arm laying across your eyes to cover them up and block out all distractions. So cute!

* The day after you turned 6 months old (April 30th) your first tooth came in. It was your bottom right one.

*Right before 6 months you hit a growth spurt and have been waking up once in the night to eat again. Wearing this Mommy out.

* You won't put weight on your legs for anything. I try to stand you up and your little legs tur to jello and down you go.

* You are the happiest baby all the time. Unless you're hungry or sleepy that is.

* God gave you a good set of lungs and you aren't afraid to use them. Just like your brother. When you are upset, which is rare, everyone knows!

* You still sleep in bed with me and I love having you next to me. I still miss your brother sleeping next to me so I will cherish every night with you.

* You do not like to be held to go to sleep anymore. You definitely prefer to be laying down in your bed. You mainly sleep on your side. In fact it is the only way you fall asleep but sometimes you roll onto your back during the night.

*I think your favorite place to be is outside. You will sit in your bouncer and kick like a little mad man happy as can be. We don't even have to be right next to you. Such a happy baby.

*You still love taking baths and enjoy splashing in the water.

*We will be starting real food next month. We aren't going to puree all of your food like we did for Hudson. Pretty sure that's why he has texture issues. Your food will either be mashed up with a fork or steamed and cut into little bites you can grab.

I can not put into words how much I adore you. I love everything about you. Your eyes, lips, fingers, your coos, smiles, laugh, the way you love your brother, the way you love me and your daddy, and the list could go on and on. I think you are simply the best baby for our family. We couldn't love you more. Keep smiling little one! The world is so much better with you in it!!!  You have my heart always and always.

3 Years Old

Hudson Joshua,

I have never been more proud to call anyone mine. You are our pride and joy. I can't believe it's been three whole years since you changed our lives forever. It was something we had no idea would change us so much. You have taught us a love that I can only describe as the type of love Jesus has for us. And if you can ever grasp how much we love you, then just try to imagine how much more your Jesus loves you. I will never be able to adequately describe just how much we love and adore you and he loves you even more. I thank Him every single day for blessing us with you. As I laid in bed with you last night while you slept I started crying because I can not imagine what my life would be without you. You have etched yourself so perfectly in my heart that my heart would come unglued without you. You will always be my first born, the little person that taught me just how much God loves us, my precious baby boy, and whole heart. I couldn't have ask for a more perfect little man.

Here is what you have been up to the last 6 months.

~At your 3 year appointment you weighed 35 pounds (50th %), and are 41 inches tall (100%) and your BMI puts you in the 10th%. Dr. Stevens goes yeah hes skinny :)

~You are in 4T clothes. Well except shorts because 4T still falls off of you. We got you 3T shorts for this summer.

~You have mastered going pee pee in the potty. Poo poo is a different story. You bring me a diaper whenever you need to go :) I have heard this is completely normal though! The first day you wore big boy underwear you only had 2 accidents and I could count on 2 hands how many accidents you have had since we started several months ago. I'm so proud of you!

~A few months ago you finally started calling me Mum...then it turned into Mom...and now Mommy. I have waited SOOOOO long to hear you say that precious word and I'm pretty sure I cried the first time you did.

~Your speech has improved by leaps and bounds. We are so proud of you and the progress you are making. The funniest thing you do is call for things like your gun....You'll say "Gun, gun, where are you?" Then when you find it you say "Oh gun there you are, I found you" So stinking cute

~You are the most loving three year old I have ever been around. You want to give everyone a hug and a kiss. Just so you know you can hug and kiss Mommy anytime you want! I will never turn you away.

~Music has always been a HUGE part of your life and now you are actually trying to sing. It's probably my favorite thing you do right now. If you can't say the word you hum that part and pick up with the next word you know.

~You have an excellent memory. You know which way we turn leaving our neighborhood to go to Mimi & Popis and how we go to go visit Daddy at work. If you realize we are not traveling to the destination of your choice you start a loud protest in the backseat.

~Chick-Fil-A is your absolute favorite place to eat. We go there at least twice a week. (not good for Mommy's diet) You LOVE some chicken nuggets but only CFA nuggets. Such a picky eater.

~You still prefer to eat Kashi cereal bars, colby cheezits, grapes, raspberries, corn, chips, cookies, icecream, cake, chicken and oh thats about it. Sometimes you shock us and try something new but not very often.

~We got you a swingset for your birthday and I can hardly keep you inside now. Its your favorite place to be and I love watching how happy you are when you are out there.

~You love and adore all three dogs now and call them by name. They love you too and have realized you will be their best friend. I love that you are already building that bond with them. Makes my heart happy.

~Daddy started playing the guitar and for Christmas we got you a guitar that looks like Daddy's. One of my favorite things is to sit and watch you play along with him. I know music will always play a huge role in your life.

~You absolutely adore your Mimi & Popi and talk about them all the time. You ask to go to their house and go eat with them. And because Popi always brings you bundt cakes back from Oklahoma City you now ask for Popi and your cake :) Crazy kid.

~I love that Mommy's kisses instantly heal your boo boos. I wish that would last forever, but I sure will cherish it now.

~ You told me you loved me for the first time the other night without me telling you first and it will always be one of my most cherished memories. You have a heart of gold son and I pray that never changes.

~Your best friend is Lola and the two of you are so much alike and have a blast together.

~You talk about Lola and Gracie all the time and wanting to go play with them.

~Everyone that knows you always talks about how funny you are. We love how dramatic you are. I'm pretty sure you would make a great actor some day.

~For your birthday one of the gifts Mimi & Popi got you was a microphone and you love to stand on the fireplace and put on a concert for me. If I try to sing along, you tell me "Shhhh be quiet Mommy"

~When Momma gets ready in the morning you come in the bathroom and act like you are fixing your hair and it cracks me up!

~You are starting to love your little brother and I couldn't be happier. At first you didn't really acknowledge that he even existed but just this morning you let him feel all over your face with his little hands. The other thing you do is whenever he is laying on the ground or something you go over to him and sit down and say "Hi Bubby whatcha doin" Precious!!

Hudson I could go on and on and on with all the precious things you are doing. These are just a few of my favorites. Sometimes being a Mommy is really hard and I don't feel like I was cut out for the job. Then you come up and wrap your arms around me and give me a kiss and I know I was made for this. You were made for us. Just know that we love you to the ends of the earth and you will always be our little boy. We are so very thankful you are ours. Keep smiling silly boy! The world is so much better with you in it.

Spent the evening at Konnect. Love my church. Love the children's ministry. Can't wait for my boys to be old enough to go.

This is how these two fell asleep last night...oh my word, melt my heart. Adore my boys!!!

Last but not least yesterday was National Sibling Day. I sure am proud of my baby brother and the man/husband he has become. Best little brother in the world! 

Grayson 5 Months

Baby Gray,

I feel like life is slipping by without me even realizing it. It is cliche but I seriously feel like you were just in my tummy and I was DYING for you to get out! Things go fast with your brother but they are going even faster with you. You have already taught me so much about life. I have learned that a messy house is worth it so I can lay with you and listen to you coo and talk to me the best you know how. I honestly don't think I could love you more, but somehow each day you make me fall even more in love with you.

Here is what you have been up to:

~16.3 pounds (50th%), 25.5 inches (75th%)

~Size 3 diapers you little chunk.

~6-9 month clothes...see I told you, that you are growing too fast!

~You are eating 5.5-6oz of breastmilk/formula every 3-4 hours during the day. You had a growth spurt at 5 months 2 weeks and you ate 6oz every 3 hours all day plus you woke up twice in the night to eat. This only lasted 4 nights thank goodness

~You sleep from about 8pm-7am, now if I just went to bed a decent hour we would be set.

~The biggest change this month is you LOVE playing with your toys, grabbing them, putting them in your mouth, and chewing on them.

~Whenever you drink your milk you always lay with your right side up against Momma and with your left hand you run your fingers over your head. It is absolutely precious.

~When you fall asleep at night you prefer to be holding my finger and I love it. One day you wont want us to snuggle when you sleep so I will cherish every second you let me.

~You experienced your first Easter and slept through most of the events of the day! :) Oh well we sure enjoyed holding you.

~You still LOVE to take baths and splash around in the water.

~You enjoy playing on your playmats again. However you never stay still anymore. Yesterday I left you for maybe 10 minutes to do the dishes and came back and you had almost made a full 360 turn.

~Your absolute favorite person is still your brother. You love to watch him and anytime he looks at you, you get a HUGE smile on your face. Melts my heart.

~You no longer want us to walk around holding you like a baby. You only want to be upright so you can see everything.

~Your first tooth still hasn't popped through but I have to change your clothes at least once a day because you drool so much. The doctor looked when we took brother in and she thinks it will come in any time now.

~Your personality is really starting to shine. You are so much like your Daddy in how laid back you are most of the time. However when you get hungry you act just like Momma....mad! :) It is really funny to watch because you try to grab onto our clothes or arms cause you are so frustrated. You are still the absolute happiest baby just like your brother was. Every where I go with you someone comments on how happy you are and you show them your precious smile.

~You are still a carbon copy of Hudson. I have dejavu almost every day looking at you because the two of you look so similar. Each day you get more qualities that make you your own precious person though and I love that.

~Whenever we ride in the car you sit back there and coo the entire time. It is a welcomed noise since you used to scream every time we got in the car.

I sure do love you more than I could have ever imagined. You make our lives so special each and every day. We absolutely adore you precious boy. Life is so much better with you in it. Keep smiling little one!!
